Surgical Assistant Information
A surgical assistant is a person who provides aid under direct supervision in exposure, hemostasis, closures, and other intraoperative technical functions that assist a physician in performing a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.

Renewal/Registration |
 |
Surgical Assistants are required to renew their certification annually. The Board will send renewal applications by mail approximately 60 days prior to expiration.
